Indiana

Denise Hagerty, PIP, Gamma Pi, Indianapolis, IN husband, Frank lost his battle with COVID on Friday, February 12th. Sending prayers and thoughts to Denise and their family for their loss. Frank was an outstanding husband, father and grandpa and will be sorely missed. Heaven gain a loving and caring Guardian Angel. Brenda “B.J.” Voll, PIP, Delta Zeta, Terre Haute, sends update on her health and a prayer request. “The bladder cancer returned. So grateful I have cystoscopies every 3 months. The new tumor was very small and could be removed in the urology clinic. Same cancer as before so I go back on the treatment as in the beginning. On top of that I have been fighting an infection and now have cellulitis and phlebitis in my lower right leg. It is very painful but we are staying on top of it. Doppler was negative for DVT. I am blessed but at the same time feeling very overwhelmed along with the physical issues. I appreciate so very much all the prayers, cards, calls and messages over the past year and a half and those prayers yet to be said. Pat Summan, PIP, MAL, reported husband Kenny finally had his knee surgery January 27, 2021 after cancellations four times in November and December due to Covid issues at the hospital. Surgery went well. On January 31, he began having breathing issues and an ambulance was called. He spent 6 days at St. Vincent’s Hospital with blood clots in his lungs and congestive heart failure. In January Pat started having heart issues. She has appointment on March 4 and may need a pacemaker. Both Pat and Kenny are scheduled for their vaccine shots this week. Kenny continues to have pain in his knee and home health comes three times a week for therapy. Michigan

Patty Jordan is a former MSC president and is now a MAL. She has been good at helping with Hope for Heroes and other state projects. Please keep her in your prayers. It was determined that she most likely had Covid but is doing much better. She wants to thank everyone for their prayers and cards.

Nancy Irvine, Delta Rho, last year’s State President, is asking for good thoughts and prayers for her dad, Fred Annand. He turned 92 on February 4th, and called 911 for being dizzy and numb on the left side. After testing it was determined that he did have a stroke. They don’t know at this time whether surgery will be done and what steps we are going to have to do. He was still and is trying to recover from his last medical adventure. Thank you for your prayers. Georgene Farr, Alpha Kappa, report that niece, Keri Draper Could use some prayers. Keri was scheduled for a double mastectomy last Thursday, February 11 . Keri is 44 years old. UPDATE from Georgene: Keri had a Pet scan a few days before her surgery to determine if the cancer had traveled to her lymph nodes. Surgery went well last Thursday and it was determined the cancer had not spread. In the afternoon the plastic surgeon did the reconstruction on both breasts and she went home soon after release from recovery. She cannot raise her arms and must take it easy for the next three weeks. Keep those prayers going and ask God to give Georgene strength as she worries over her loved one.

Missouri

Anna Mae Richardson, Beta Tau, lost her son, Gordon Keith Richardson of Washington, D.C. Keith passed away on Feb. 4, 2021, at the age of 60 from complications of COVID-19. Keith was born in Leadville, CO, and raised primarily in St. Charles, MO. Keith is survived by his partner, Daniel Carlson of Washington D.C. Keith faced a multitude of serious health challenges, and fought through them time and time again. His spirit stayed strong and his zest for life never waned. The family would like to thank the healthcare and palliative care teams at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C. A memorial service will be held at a future date after COVID-19 subsides. Donations can be made to DOORWAYS, an interfaith non-profit organization which provides housing and related supportive services to improve quality of life and health outcomes for people affected by HIV/AIDS. Dianne Nail, Chapter Vice President and longtime member, Alpha Rho, Broken Arrow, passed away suddenly Friday, February 5 , 2021. Services were scheduled for last Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church, 4250 W. Houston, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. The services were also live streamed on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/stpatsba/. The family requested no plants or flowers. Prayers for Diane and Gene Stowell, Beta Beta. Gene is scheduled for his heart cath tomorrow to try to put in a stent to open a blockage that was found during his treadmill test. Diane is scheduled to get a pacemaker Friday Feb 19th. We are calling all prayer warriors and using all the lucky charms we can collect. Remember to have true friends is lucky but to have our sorority friends is a miracle and wonderful blessings.
