Indiana ESA supports two state projects: Camp Riley and Anna’s Celebration of Life.
Camp Riley is part of the Riley Children’s Foundation and is an annual summer camp at Bradford Woods in Martinsville, Indiana. It allows children with disabilities to experience life and camp without limits, while building confidence and friendships. Thanks to donations and support from organizations like Indiana ESA, Camp Riley has never had to turn away a camper due to financial need. Campers will experience outdoor adventures including horseback riding, swimming, archery, climbing towers, and more. Indiana ESA has supported Camp Riley for over 50 years, since 1965!
Added as a state project in 2018, Anna’s Celebration of Life provides life-enhancing gifts for children in Indiana with special needs. Anna’s Celebration of Life is named after Anna Molloy, who was born on September 28, 1995 and was diagnosed with Geleophysics Dysplasia. Inspired by Anna’s spirit and with the blessing of the Molloy family, Anna’s Celebration of Life, Inc. was formed by Anna’s father’s friends and business associates. Anna felt free and self-sufficient with her first wheelchair, and the foundation was formed to give other children in Indiana with special needs that same experience. Anna passed away from Geleophysics Dysplasia in 2008, but her spirit lives on in the 75-100 wishes that Anna’s Celebration of Life grants every year to children in Indiana and the foundation’s celebration of the “specialness” of children.
